Cyanotypes are the earilest form of photography, dating to the 1842. The cotton is treated with a photographic chemical and exposed to the sun or other full-spectrum light source to develop. Sashiko stithces are hand-applied. Sashiko is a traditional Japenese stitching that is intended to be meditative and peaceful to the artist and the viewer.
