Private Collection. Hand-spun, natural and hand-dyed churro yarn. The center symbol is a recreation of those found throughout the American Southwest and represents migration —whether forced or voluntary. The red represents the cost of migration, the blue at the top the hope for a new life. It’s inspired by my despair over the current immigration actions by this government. It also reminds me of a flag. 9x15 inches. From the Symbols Tell the Story series
