Two Waterlilies, ©2013 Jeane Vogel Studios. Emuslsion transfer on ginswashi rice paper
Photo Emulsion Lifts/Transfers
Every show I’ve done this year, I get the same question: do you teach this?
Yes! It took me two years to perfect the technique (maybe I’m a slow learner), and you can benefit from my mistakes. These are not your grade school transfers, but vibrant, original works of art that take your photography to the next stage.
Learn how to transfer the emulsion from special transfer film to watercolor & ginwashi paper, wood, glass, or tile — even aluminum foil! All materials, tools, film & chemistry included.
Students will complete transfers on at least two different types of art paper, including ginwashi rice paper, and a wooden cradle board, using student’s own photographs. Workshop is tailored to students’ interests.
Minimum 2 students; maximum 5 students. At Jeane Vogel Studios, Maplewood, MO. Adults and mature teens. No previous photography experience necessary.
Email Jeane about your interest.
Cancellation policy: No refunds can be given, but credit given toward future workshop if cancelled within 48 hours of class time.
