In the second most populous country in the world, there are people everywhere in India. But I was struck: where are the women? Women's lives in India are harder than any Western woman can imagine. Women in the US still struggle with equal rights, while women in India seemed almost invisible, religiously, politically, economically, socially.
Where Are the Women? is a search for women on a short visit to a remarkable and complex land.
